After attending an Encounter workshop and fulfilling qualification, you may register and attend the Encounter Facilitator Certification. Experiencing the Encounter a second time with your Facilitator Manual in hand will prepare you to confidently and effectively facilitate the Encounter workshop.
The Encounter Facilitator Certification is currently delivered virtually over 4 half days, 4-hours per day.

Pre-requisites to Encounter Facilitator Certification:
Thank you for your interest in the Encounter Facilitator Certification.
Lead Like Jesus Facilitators are on the frontline of sharing the hope and transformation of Jesus with the world. Through the Encounter Leadership Development Experience, you will be challenged and inspired in your personal leadership, and you will be introduced to the core message and teachings of Lead Like Jesus.
Individuals who are working in faith-based organizations or faith-led businesses and have a ready-made audience for facilitating Lead Like Jesus Leadership Encounters may qualify to be trained as a facilitator.
- Be a graduate of a Lead Like Jesus Encounter (workshop)
- Have a ready-made audience to lead Encounters within your organization/ministry.
- Complete an Encounter Facilitator Application
- Interview with LLJ’s Staff to determine eligibility for Facilitator Certification.
Before enrolling in the Encounter Facilitator Certification, we want Facilitator Candidates to fully engage as a participant in the Encounter experience.

What is the process to become an Encounter Facilitator?
- Experience your first Encounter
- Complete the Facilitator Application
- Interview with LLJ staff member to determine your eligibility.
- Review Facilitator Policy Manual
- Review and sign Facilitator Covenant
- Register for the Facilitator Certification training.
- Schedule and facilitate your first Encounter within 6 months of being certified.
- Debrief your Encounter experience with an LLJ staff member.
- Become a fully certified Encounter Facilitator upon completing the above steps.
Where do I attend an Encounter?
Lead Like Jesus offers a virtual Encounter over three consecutive half days, four hours each day. All Encounter dates are listed on the LLJ website: https://leadlikejesus.com/us-events/
Where do I attend Encounter Facilitator Certification Training?
Encounter Facilitator Certification is currently offered virtually. The Encounter Facilitator Training is held over 4 days, 4 hours each day. It includes 3 days of workshop attendance with the Facilitator Manual in hand; the fourth day is devoted to facilitation practice, overview of workshop flow and facilitation tips. Upon qualifying for the Facilitator Certification, you will receive a link to register.
